Rainy Tuesday!
We had a fun day today! Working on staying focused and getting our work done before we play AND getting along with others. We ran A LOT during Gym! Outside was misty so we were able to go outside for recess. We managed to all come inside WITHOUT MUD!!! Ms. Gray screamed with excitement... Not literally. (But, I was very excited!)
During our Inquiry into Language Arts we used what we learned yesterday (the letter Ii) and we practiced the song more and more. Throughout the remainder of the day, Ms. Gray could hear the song about the mouse and the Ink... Over.... and over!!! One of our friends was singing in all the way up to walking out the door. (Sorry about that to those parents ;) ) Jolly Phonics SURE knows how to make their songs catchy! They never disappoint.

During UOI: We watched this video to learn the parts and needs of plants!

Once we watched and asked LOTS of questions about the needs of plants, we practiced the actions for each of the parts of the flower! Then we acted out -- if it was a need we did the twist... if it was a part we did the robot. "THAT WAS SOOOO MUCH FUN!" as they were panting and making their way to their seats. All that excitement got them ready to go for recess!

After Recess we had French and then we worked on making a list and sorting parts of a plant vs. needs of a plant! We talked about the pretty part of the flower and why it is pretty... (To attract birds and bees so that they can spread the pollen to other plants to make more plants!)
We have been working hard on making our work look beautiful for our parents to see! We want to make our parents SUPER proud of us and impress them with how nice and neat our work is. :)
