Fun Day in S.K.
Lots of energy in the morning... in the afternoon, not so much! Our friends kept saying "Ms. Gray I am tired!"We talked about Mexico. Since we decided on Mexico, if anyone is interested in helping out with International Day that would be great. I will find out more information about what we will need. I would LOVE for the students to make art projects and other awesome things for our presentation of Mexico.
During our Inquiry into Language Arts we worked on the letter Pp. We practiced using the action that goes with Pp. We learned the song that says the sound of Pp. We reviewed all of our letters and their sounds that we have already learned.
During Math we did math centers. We used play-dough putting numbers into ten frames. We used counters and practiced using Ten Frames to make two different groups. Our focus is the numbers from 10-20.
During UOI we watched a video on how to make BUTTER! Some of our friends shared that they DO NOT like butter and have absolutely no interest in making their own butter. We are hopefully going to make butter tomorrow but still need some of the supplies. If not tomorrow, we will be making it on Monday!
We learned that butter was made from the FAT of the milk that comes from a cow. We then wrote in our journals and made a list of 3 milk products.
REMINDERS
1. Please send back the student's permission form for the field trip! I have almost all of them. Just need about 3 more.
*Parents/Grandparents who are interested in coming along for the field trip will need to get a police check for volunteering in a school*
2. The students received their log in information for RazKids and they are welcome to start working on those. By tomorrow I will start leveling the students more accordingly.
3. Words of the Week Journals are due tomorrow! Show and Share students should bring their items tomorrow to school!
