Day 3

We had a great 3rd day today in S.K.!

We started off our day playing a HOUSE GAME. First round Kappa won and second round Zeta won! We had fun cheering on our teams!
In Language we traced our names with a glue stick and then we made an art project of our name with confetti. The students really enjoyed this!
After Lunch and Recess we took 2 minutes to stretch our bodies and listened to some calming music so that we could get our brains ready to learn!
In Math we learned and practiced making groups, writing numbers and then the number words. We got to use marbles to count different numbers and practiced making our groups with manipulatives.

During UOI the students reviewed what meats are produced from each animal. We also used little farm animals to incorporate our math skills into our UOI making groups of cows, pigs or chickens. After we reviewed the meats, we then learned the important body parts of a cow. After we learned the body parts of a cow, we made a cow using a paper plate. We compared cows body parts to pig body parts (udders & horns). We really enjoyed making cow noises and pig noises but we learned that making pig noises hurt our throats just a little... (hah)
