International Day

International Day!!

(My computer is what the IT person says is "toast")
We had a very busy Thursday! We were getting all ready for International Day, finishing up our Mexico books and putting together our posters! We learned so much about Mexico. In the morning we made our Maracas, which in hindsight should have probably happened later in the day considering our friends were really excited about this and wanted to bring it EVERYWHERE!

After we had gym, recess, and lunch we moved on with our day. We did a GREAT job of getting focused to do our work first before we could play (International Day -- "Fiesta")! During Math we started reviewing for our unit test coming up! After that we worked on our summative assignment. We made the changes to our final draft that Ms. Gray and I worked on the day before. Once we were done doing that, we set up our room with Ms. Gray! She was SO impressed with our decorating ability!

At 1:00 the fun began! It started with some older classes coming into our room to learn about Mexico! We then took the next little while to travel from place to place throughout the school to learn all about the different countries and see all of the hard work that the other classes did!... We welcomed parents, grandparents, siblings and other students to our classroom. We danced to Mexican music, shook our maracas and talked about Mexico over the next couple hours. All of this excitement had us ready for a 4 day weekend!

I will be posting more photos in the next few days! These are some of the photos that I had available to me. I hope everyone had an awesome Thanksgiving! :)
