January 17th, 2019

Thursday

Started our day off with an assembly about jumping for hearts... We heard from a very knowledgeable speaker about how important all of the money we raise is and where it goes to. There were a number of children who benefit from the money that students raise and it can actually help save their lives!

During UOI we had a presentation! We learned about Uranus today. Once our presentation was completed we had some students working on their writing portion of the assignment because they forgot or did not have it at school! While they worked on that other students made a space crown! The students LOVED their hard work. They were practicing putting the planets in order and asking each other what colour their planets were. Each of them were experts on their own planet.

During Math today we practiced differentiating between addition and subtraction. We practiced the symbols and then we completed a worksheet. We used new strategies to complete this assignment! The students love math so much! It is definitely their favourite!
