SPACE DAY!!

We were SO excited to start our day for Space Day! We couldn't wait to tell our friends about our costumes and share information about our planet. I over-heard friends telling people from other classes about their planets!

During morning meeting, we learned a new blend! We learned the sound for the blend CH/ch. We listened and sang the CH Jolly Phonics song while we wrote in our phonics journals.

For gym class today we went to Ms. Bannon's room for a go-noodle workout! We danced around the room for a couple different songs.

After recess and lunch we began our awesome space presentations! Ms. Gray picked a planet out of the cup and then that person presented. Our friends presented about their planets, talked about the number of days/years around the sun, and informed us about astronauts. Everyone's presentations were great and very entertaining.

During our inquiry into math, we worked on a space subtraction page. We used manipulatives to practice taking away the second number! Once we were done with this we packed up our belongings and got ready for Music!

WE HAD A BLAST DURING MUSIC! We sang songs about planets and practiced following the rhythm with scarves. It was so much fun! The kiddos LOVED this activity. Our music teacher is awesome!

• Everyone is coming on the field trip!! We are so excited for our fun trip to the Ontario Science Centre!! :) 
• Friday is the FIELD TRIP!! Don't forget to send a lunch with your child. Lunch WILL NOT be provided to them at the field trip. They need to bring their lunch! :)
